Bodo National Students' Union (BONSU)

We are the Bodo National Students' Union (BONSU) - the fearless voice of the Bodo youth and the vanguard of our community's unbroken spirit. Born out of an urgent need to protect our indigenous identity, we officially united on February 7, 2022, in Kokrajhar. We arose because our people's core political aspirations were left unfulfilled by past compromises. Today, we stand as a revolutionary, non-political student movement dedicated to the total socio-economic, cultural, and political liberation of the Bodos.

Our Sacred Mission

The Fight for Bodoland

We have revived the ultimate dream of a separate Bodoland state under Articles 2 and 3 of the Indian Constitution, taking our loud, clear demands straight to New Delhi.

Guarding Tribal Rights

We actively build solidarity across the Northeastern states to fiercely protect our Sixth Schedule rights and indigenous land.

Total Social Revolution

We fight for total revolution in Education and Literature, Culture, Games and Sports, and the upliftment of Agriculture.

Our Uncompromising Stand

While we respect the long history of student activism before us, BONSU represents a new generation. We refuse to let the sacrifice of our martyrs be diluted by inadequate peace accords. We are young, independent, and completely unapologetic in our mission to secure a dignified, self-determined future for every Bodo citizen.
